Publish world cup budget-Takyi Arhin
Veteran Football Administrator, Takyi Arhin has
asked the Ghana Football Association to make an
item by item publication of their budget to the
world cup. There have been speculation the Ghana
Football Association presented a budget of around
20 million US dollars to the Ministry of Youth and
Sports for the Black Stars’ participation at the
2014 World cup in Brazil. While, Arhin said it is
important for the FA to have a budget, he
believes a publication of the FA’s budget will
ensure transparency in the way the money is
used.“There’s no secrecy in football. If you
go to the USA website, you will find all the
information there. The GFA should publish their
budget, item by item. The money is for the tax
payer, and they deserve to know what their money
is being used for.” Arhin told Ultimate sports.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has yet to
approve the GFA’s budget for the 2014 world
cup.
