Kotoko set to lose Yahaya Mohammed for free
Kumasi Asante Kotoko is on the verge of losing
influential midfielder Yahaya Mohammed for free at
the end of the season.

The Ex Tema Youth player who is the clubs second
top scorer in the ongoing campaign boycotted the
clubs trip to Cape Coast on Sunday in protest of
his unpaid two match winning bonuses and disputes
over his contract renewal.

The Local Black Stars captain is said to be
demanding an amount of 50,000 Ghana Cedis from the
club before he extends his current contract which
runs out at the end of the season.

XYZ Sports can confirm that Yahaya has decided to
honour his existing contract and then move to a
different club as a free agent next season.

The 26 year old is said to have attracted interest
from two unnamed South African Premier League
sides as well as Accra Hearts of Oak and Aduana
Stars.

Yahaya will become the second high profile player
to leave the Ghanaian Champions within a space of
six months following the departure of Michael
Helegbe who now plays for FA Cup holders Medeama
SC.

Kotoko lead the Ghana Premier League table seven
points better than second placed AshantiGold and
rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
