The hunter shot his wife's sister when she was trying to protect her from harm

Man kills sister-in-law
A 45-year-old hunter, Kodjovi, has shot and killed
his wife’s sister, Ama Kromaa, at Akyem Akroso
in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The incident happened in the early hours of
Wednesday, 24 May.

Kofi Addo, a brother of the deceased, narrated to
Chief Jerry Forson on Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM
on Wednesday that Kojovi had actually wanted to
kill his own wife over a disagreement, but shot
her sister when she attempted to protect his wife
from harm.

He said: “For some time, the man had issues with
the wife, the issues that happen in every
marriage, and so some of us did not want to
interfere. Lately, we observed that he had been
warning that very soon he would kill somebody, but
we didn’t know it was targeted at his wife.

“Yesterday, Tuesday, he went to buy some
cartridges but again we did not imagine for once
that he was going to harm or kill somebody with
it, because he is a hunter.

“Just this Wednesday dawn, my sister called me
and said the man had pointed a gun at her
threatening to take her life for preventing him
from dealing with his wife, who is also our
sister. So as I was talking on the phone with my
sister, I heard a loud a gunshot with my sister
shouting that the man had killed her. Our sister,
the man’s wife, was not hurt in the process.
When I rushed to the scene, I realised that she
was lying dead in a pool of blood. The man had
shot her in the stomach, the intestines had gushed
out.

“The police arrived later to take pictures of
the scene to start investigations, but the man has
fled the community. We don’t know his
whereabouts now.”
