Akufo-Addo lands in Tamale ahead of Bolgatanga rally
Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party
(NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his
campaign team have arrived at the Tamale Airport
ahead of Monday’s rally in the Upper East
Region.

The opposition leader is expected to be transited
to the Upper East Regional capital of Bolgatanga
where he will address a mammoth rally on day two
of his regional rallies as the December 7
Presidential poll approaches.

Akufo-Addo touched down at the Tamale Airport at
about 13:25 GMT.

On Sunday, November 20, 2016, the NPP leader began
his regional rallies at Aflao in the Volta Region
where he addressed thousands of NPP supporters and
sympathizers.

After Monday’s rally, the presidential candidate
of the elephant family will storm the Northern
Region where is also expected to address a large
rally at the Jubilee Park in Tamale.

On Wednesday, November 23, 2016, Nana Akufo-Addo
will lead his campaign team to address supporters
and sympathizers of the party in Wa in the Upper
West Region.

Acting General Secretary of the party, John Boadu,
told Kasapa FM’s reporter, Daakyehene Ofosu
Agyemang that they will break and join the
Asantehene to commiserate with him during the one
week celebration of the demise of his mother, Afia
Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, who was also the Queen
mother of the Asante Kingdom.

The regional rallies continue with a stop in Brong
Ahafo Region where Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to
address thousands of his supporters and
sympathizers at Sunyani.

“From there, we will come down to Western Region
and go to Central Region from Sunday and Monday.
We will then go to Ashanti Region before going to
Eastern Region and the final rally will be held in
the Greater Accra Region,” the Acting Chief
Scribe of the NPP explained.
