NPP inaugurates Effia-Kwesimintsim campaign team
Kwesimintsim(W/R),June 24, GNA- The Deputy
National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party
(NPP), Mr Kojo Acquah has inaugurated a 25-member
constituency campaign team for the
Effia-Kwesimintsim Constituency for Election
2012.

He charged the members to work assiduously towards
winning more floating voters into the party to
enable the NPP to re-capture power on December 7.

He also outdoored a 13-member- executive of the
constituency Women's Wing.

The national Deputy Organiser, Mr Kojo Acquah,
sworn members into office.

He observed that the Constituency, popularly
called "the Florida" by the NPP faithful due to
the huge votes it garnered from the constituency
during national elections, is one of the
strongholds of the party in the region.

He urged the rank and file of the party to
campaign seriously in order to maintain its
dominance in this year's elections.

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the
constituency, Mr Joseph Cudjoe, entreated the
party supporters and sympathizers to rally behind
the campaign team towards retaining the seat.

He said the incumbent MP, Mr Joe Baido-Ansah had
left a good mark and, therefore, they should work
hard to maintain the seat for the party.

He entreated members and supporters to do away
with petty squabbles and rather work as a united
front towards winning both the presidential and
parliamentary elections to better the lot of the
people.

Mr Baidoe-Ansah, said that during his tenure, a
number of social infrastructure were constructed
in the constituency.

He mentioned some of the projects such as tarring
of roads, construction of schools, toilet
facilities, among other development projects.

Mr. Baidoe-Ansah said the National Democratic
Congress administration had failed Ghanaians
saying: "We must change the driver on the seat
because it has failed us woefully to our rightful
destination."

He entreated the party faithful to campaign based
on issues instead of personal attacks and use of
derogatory remarks.
