Hohoe feuding factions want to make peace - Volta Caucus
The leadership of the Volta caucus in Parliament
says it is satisfied with the commitment of the
chiefs of Hohoe and members of the Muslim
community towards restoring peace to the area.

According to the Chairman of the caucus both
parties showed willingness to give peace a chance
after last week’s violent clash.

Captain (rtd) George Nfojoh led a team of MPs to
Hohoe on Monday to aid in restoring peace to the
place.

Speaking to XYZ News, Mr. Nfojoh said the caucus
will monitor the situation in the coming days and
is hopeful things will return to normal quickly.

“I think the Chiefs have shown courage and they
deserve some praise. The Muslims have also
accepted that what went on was wrong” Mr. Nfojoh
said.

He added that “so it means that both parties are
prepared to smoke the peace pipe. Within the next
one week we should see a great change of heart but
we will monitor the situation and sees how it
goes”.
