Charles Kwadwo Fosu aka Daddy Lumba

Lumba makes £40,000 In 90 minutes
Ace Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu
aka Daddy Lumba is without doubt one of the
wealthiest musicians in the country’s music
history. The popular musician is making good money
from his amazing music career as he reportedly
makes a whopping £40,000 within 90minutes.

Lumba who confirmed the report at a press
conference in Kumasi recently, stated that he
charged event organizers ¢40,000 whenever he
performed in the UK. According to him, during such
events, he only performed for just one and a half
hours, approximately 90 minutes, and left the
stage to enjoy his money. Lumba from all
indications, despite his immense popularity in the
country and abroad, is a shy person who hardly
talks about himself, especially his finances.

The talented musician however spilled the beans
about what he makes whenever he performed in
Europe, especially his finances. The talented
musician however spilled the beans about what he
made whenever he performed in Europe, especially
the UK, because of a statement a journalist made
about him as regards the amount he charged when he
performed. Asante of Hello FM in Kumasi had
alleged that he received some reports that
indicated that Lumba charged a staggering £20,000
before performing at the legends and Legacy Ball
which was attended by Messrs Rawlings and Kufuor.

Lumba who would not confirm or deny the figure the
journalist quoted said, “if that was true then you
should not blame me, because if I perform in UK
for just 90minites, I charge event organizers
¢40,000. he stated that he felt very sad whenever
his fans, most of who were cash-strapped, were
unable to pay and watch him performing live in the
country, saying, “I want to get closer to my
grassroots fans all the time.” Lumba said in the
near future, he would perform live at one of the
stadia in the country for free so that his
numerous fans could see him perform live.
