Ama Abebrese

I don’t want footballer lover - Ama Abebrese
Award-winning actress, Ama K. Abebrese has put to
an end speculations that she is in a passionate
love relationship with a footballer.

According to Ama, she rather facilitated the love
relationship that eventually led to the marriage
between soccer star Sule Muntari and Ghanaian
beauty queen Menaye Donkor.

“I linked them up and they later became friends
and now they are married,” she added.

Ama K disclosed that she is a cousin to Menaye and
a friend to Muntari and that it was through her
that the two love birds met and eventually got
married.

“I have been around footballers for a long time
and if I really wanted to date a footballer, I
would have done that a long time ago….Right now I
am hundred percent single,” Ama told television
talk show host Delores Frimpong Manso on her Delay
TV show.

The actress explained the fact that she was single
and had a platonic relationship with footballers
might have fueled the speculation that she was
dating one of them.

When asked why she was not dating, Ama K said she
was yet to meet the right man who would love her
and respect her career.

“When you are a successful woman, you get busy a
lot and a lot of Ghanaian men do not like busy
women….there are a lot of guys who come around but
I am waiting for the guy who deserves me and
respects my career,” Ama K added.

In January this year, rumuors were rife that Ama K
was dating Black Stars player Kwadwo Asamoah and
when NEWS-ONE asked her about it, she responded,
“I am not going to comment because if I do, it
will lead to another question and then to another.
I don’t want that attention. I just want to live
my private life.”

When the paper pushed further on the Kwadwo
Asamoah issue, she started blushing and in a
jittery manner snapped: “It is not true.

I don’t like people talking about me but I know
people will definitely talk about this. But I can
say it is not true. It is one of those things. All
I have to say is that it is not true.”
